LOVTCHALIJTCHE   Lovetch

A folk dance!

Is there anything more beautiful, purer and more cheerful?

Movements that make body and spirit shiver together as a string in the rhythm of life...

More than 30 years the children in our town keep and popularize the Bulgarian dancing folklore.

A successor of this tradition is also the Children's folk dance group "LOVCHALIJCHE". More than 3 decades the young dancers from Lovech represent with dignity the Bulgarian folk dances "horo" and "rachenitsa" at the stages, platforms and squares through the whole country and abroad (in Russia, Germany, Cyprus, Greece, Algiers, Poland and Turkey.)

'Now more than 200 kids at the age from 6 to 16 years old build up the image of this already known in Bulgaria ensemble and make it a symbol

of the vigorous youth and love towards the Bulgarian national dance.

"LOVCHALIJCHE" has been rewarded many times with honorary diplomas for its achievements in the field of dance art not only at the Bulgarian but also at many foreign folk festivals.

Its repertoire includes folk dances from nearly every ethnographic region of the country: the free-and-wide vital North-Bulgarian "horo", the specific (theme-directed) Dobrudja dances that express Bulgarian's love towards the cultivation of native land, the dynamic men and lyric women’s performance in the Trakia dances and also the whirlwind in dynamic respect of the "Shopski" dance.

For their 30-years tradition the young dancers from Lovech have more than 750 concerts,' which are the result of self-devotional work of trainers and dancers in many thousands rehearsals.

The motley-dressed children from Lovech delight the spectators and admirers of Bulgarian dance folklore not only in the native town but also through the whole country and abroad.
